Illustrated teaching board showing a fictional route from the road to the guest entrance

Learn the route as a guest sees it.

A guide that gets them to the right door.

A welcome book is useful once a guest is inside. Arrival needs its own test: can someone find the parking place, recognise the entrance and get in without guessing? By the end, you will have a short arrival guide and a message plan ready to test at your property.

Both doors look plausible from the parking bay. Which instruction removes the guess?

What should the guest see next?

A guest has parked and sees two similar doors. Choose the next instruction you would send.

Choose an instruction to see how it helps the guest.

Follow the journey from road to room.

Each lesson helps you make one decision at your own property, then check it from the guest's point of view.

Show the turn before it is missed.

Walk the last 100 metres, choose photos that answer a question and make a phone sized entry card. The exercises reveal where an instruction is asking the guest to guess.

Send the right information at the right time.

Write one useful arrival message, then work through a failed entry. You will decide what to check first and how to help without sending private access details to the wrong person.

Test it before a guest needs it.

Ask somebody unfamiliar with the property to follow your guide from the street. Record their first hesitation and use it to improve the route, photos and message.

An arrival guide you can hand to a guest.

Bring one property to the course. You will leave with a route from the public road, a small set of useful photos, a phone sized entry card, a message to send before travel and a plan for access problems.

Our free welcome book and guest message pack can help you put the finished details to work.
